3/12/2011, Day two, Asher and Michelle's visit

Mark and I were able to do our 8 mile training run together
while Michelle watched the kiddos - what a treat!
This was Joey's longest run so far and he did great too.

We then headed into Morrison to visit Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

Michelle actually ran up these steps and made it more than halfway!
I took a very graceful trip/fall about 3 steps in and decided to stop.
I was amazed how well she did with exercise at that altitude.
Asher dasher!

Cute picture of Michelle and Asher together
The kids had a lot of fun climbing around and burning up some energy

Michelle gave Avery the cute hair today
The Nature Center at Lookout Mountain
Look how surprised Asher is to have hatched an egg!
This is the skull of a mountain lion

Lookout Mountain and Buffalo Bill's Museum and Grave

 Wild, wild west
Buffalo Bills grave above and the kids playing dead below.
Notice Avery's tongue is sticking out!

Notice the sign in the lower right corner.
She is such a rebel!!
Great family picture - thanks to Michelle!

To end the day, we stopped in Golden for coffee and snacks

3/11/2011, Day one, Asher and Michelle's visit

What a fun surprise to have Michelle and Asher out for a visit!
This was Asher's first time on an airplane. He wondered why they didn't go straight up or straight down.  When Michelle explained that would make them crash he said, "yeah, I wanna do that!"
 Avery, Charleigh, and Asher
These kids are ADORABLE!!
 Michelle, Beth, and Chelsea
We went straight to lunch at the Cheesecake Factory - yummy!
Nathan, Chelsea and Charleigh live about 30 minutes from us.
Nathan and Beth are cousins from the Johnson side of the family.

2/14/2011, Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day!

Here is a look back at Ethan's past few years of custom
Valentine's cards along with the current design.

Kindergarten - 2009

First Grade - 2010

Second Grade - 2011

And this was the box he made to collect his cards this year:

He is very thankful for his creative dad!

2/2011, Avery Margaret, fashonista

Avery loves to try out her own looks!
She got a haircut with bangs and
some fun play glasses all in one day!
She pulled this outfit together all on her own
and told me I should take some pictures.

She asked for 10 ponytails as a reward
for good behavior - Love this girl!!
